My life has been a bit unusual, and even so I am happy and upbeat! I married my high school sweetheart when I was 18 and worked to help him through Engineering College. He had a heart attack his last year in school and open heart surgery when he was 28. Nevertheless, we had three children and I went to college and graduated when they were young while keeping up with the usual activities of a young family and executive husband! My love died in 1993.
In 2000, I met and married my second husband. The marriage failed and our divorce was final last July. We were snowbirds and did a lot of traveling, so I have seen a lot of the US and some of the World!
My family is the light of my life,so I moved to Portage (from Ann Arbor) to be near 2 of my 3 children and their families. I treasure the time I spend with family and friends. But the move has been difficult for a number of reasons.
I wanted to live on Lake Michigan but that was not to be! I love the Lake in all its glory. Walking barefoot in the sand is one of my favorite things to do.
I enjoy the theater, any performances, tv, history, historical sites, museums, camping (though I prefer a hard sided camper!)nature, travel, new adventure, several kinds of cards, light gardening, houseplants, crocheting, reading, eating out and occasionally cooking for friends or Family. I am interested in my family tree and ancestors, antiques,and antiquing. I have a respectable collection of antiques. I am trying to learn more about my computer. I would like nothing better than to meet my soul mate and join him with his interests!
I am sensitive, have a good sense of humor, enjoy holding hands, hugging, kissing, etc. This scratches the surface of who I am! I would enjoy meeting someone special and sharing more!
